After purchasing the PV3 and several tunes for my pioneer 1000. I was curious, as to what most users of these tunes are using in regards to achieving the 91+ octane requirements, an octane booster and if so what is the preferred brand or high octane fuel?

The PV_Info.txt file is a text file on your Power Vision 3 that contains information about the PV3 device itself and vehicle(s) that the device has been connected to.

When we develop a tune, it is done on a particular tune compat / checksum. Tune compat(ibility) refers to the vehicles that tune can be use in and the checksum is the value used to ensure the file is the correct size and not corrupted. This information is found within your PV_Info.txt file after you connect your PV3 to a vehicle. If you are requesting a tune from us or searching for tunes on our website, we use the this PV_Info file to show us the information from the vehicle that we need in order to provide you with tunes that are compatible with your ECU.

This file is located on the PV3. To find this file on your computer, first open Windows File Explorer and select the Powervision under your list of drives, you will then see the PV_Info folder, inside the folder is the PV_Info.txt file.

If you have a Power Vision 3 (PV3) that has been paired to one vehicle, and would like to tune additional vehicles, you would want to purchase and apply a PV3 Tune License. A tune license will allow the PV3 to retain the ability to tune the original vehicle that the unit is paired to, and will also allow you to tune an additional vehicle. You can add as many tune licenses to a PV3, to tune as many additional vehicles, as desired, as long as you purchase and apply a license for each additional vehicle. A PV3 will “remember” those vehicles as well. So, if a licensed vehicle needs another adjustment, the license does NOT have to be reapplied to that PV3. Unfortunately, due to CARB and EPA requirements, this is not available to customers in California. The process for getting tune licenses is fairly simple, and can be done through our website at any time. These licenses cost $230.99 USD each.

1. To get started, you will want to create an account on our website at Dynojet.com.

2. Once you are logged in, click My Account in the upper right hand corner of your browser.

3. Now click on the Tune Licenses tab in the left column.

4. Click Buy New License and proceed to checkout. After you purchase a license it will now show under your licenses in your account. NOTE: If the license is for a Honda or Yamaha you must flash an STK file to the vehicle before redeeming the license. You can find the STK file by uploading your PV_Info.txt file to Dynojet.com after you have connected the PV3 to your vehicle.

5. Click Redeem License and you will be prompted to upload your PV_Info.txt file from the PV3. Once you click Redeem, a license will then be created for the last vehicle that your PV3 was connected with.

6. You can now click the link next to the license and download the license file.

*The license file must be saved into the main folder of your PV3 (next to your tune files) in order to be recognized by the device.* *Your PV3 must be updated with the latest Firmware version to use and accept a tune license*

The reasons behind it are so that all your accessories are ran off your secondary battery so that you don't cause to much a voltage drop on all your primary running component's like your ECU and in Honda Pioneer 1000 and Talons its extremely important to keep voltage in normal range for the transmission to work properly. The battery isolator will not allow the secondary battery and accessories to draw voltage down on the OEM battery. Winches especially can have a big Amp Draw taxing the charging system. True Isolator is designed to work with a stator type charging system and is a excellent choice to use.
